When does fall start in WaterColor? For the two events that shape the season here, most of the booking is already done. As of September 29, 2026, the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation lists four of the six Harvest Wine & Food Festival wine dinners as sold out, along with the Sunday brunch. Mountainfilm on Tour's lowest advance price ends September 30, which is tomorrow.
Harvest opens October 15 and Mountainfilm on November 6. The options still open are mostly the larger events on the lawns, and for November, a parking plan.
Harvest Turns 10, and the Small Rooms Went First
The 10th Annual Harvest Wine & Food Festival runs October 15 through 18. It's centered at Cerulean Park, 45 WaterColor Blvd W, and produced by the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation. The ticket FAQ says venues depend on the ticket and can include Cerulean Park, private WaterColor residences and participating restaurants.
Here is the schedule as posted on September 29:
| Day | Event | Venue | Status as of Sept. 29 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thu., Oct. 15, 6–9 p.m. | Pahlmeyer Wine Dinner | Pandora's Steakhouse | Sold out |
| Thu., Oct. 15, 6–9 p.m. | Lerner Project Wine Dinner | Mimmo's on 30A | Tickets listed |
| Thu., Oct. 15, 6–9 p.m. | Bordeaux Wine Dinner | The Wine Bar, WaterColor | Tickets listed |

| Thu., Oct. 15, 6–9 p.m. | Innumero Wine Dinner | Surfing Deer | Sold out |
| Thu., Oct. 15, 6–9 p.m. | Sign of the Dove Wine Dinner | 140 Flatwood Street, WaterColor | Sold out |

| Sun., Oct. 18, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. | Jazz Cocktail Brunch | 140 Flatwood Street, WaterColor | Sold out |
The sold-out list follows a clear pattern. The private residence at 140 Flatwood Street hosts two events, and both are gone. The Sign of the Dove dinner there features Chef Nikhil Abuvala and was the most expensive of the Thursday dinners at $325 before fees. On Sunday the same home hosts the Jazz Cocktail Brunch, where the Better Together Beverage team pairs cocktails with a New Orleans-themed menu from Chef Tory McPhail. The Pahlmeyer dinner at Pandora's Steakhouse, with Chef Tim Creehan cooking, sold out too.
Two Thursday dinners still had tickets listed. One is the Lerner Project dinner at Mimmo's on 30A. The other is inside WaterColor: the Bordeaux dinner at The Wine Bar, with Chef Max Morrison in the kitchen and Louis Lévêque hosting. At $175 before fees, it's also the lowest-priced dinner on the schedule.
What Remains Is Friday and the Lawn
Most of the open tickets are for Friday and Saturday, when the festival moves to larger spaces.
Friday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m., 30A Wine Storage hosts a tasting of Arborum, Alpha Omega Collective and JCB by Jean-Charles Boisset. DCWAF calls the venue Northwest Florida's first private wine storage facility. Tickets are listed at $100 before fees.
That evening, Harvest After Dark moves to Cerulean Park with a limited crowd and chefs from across the Southeast. It starts at 7 p.m. The two sources disagree on the end time: DCWAF's event page says 9 p.m. and the ticket page says 10 p.m. Tickets are $250 before fees.
The Grand Tasting runs Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Cerulean Park, with stations for wine from around the world, seafood, barbecue and other food. The festival's 2026 headliners include pitmasters Jonathan and Justin Fox, along with Chefs Tory McPhail, Dakota Watson, Gregg Smith and Mimmo La Innusa. General admission is $195 before fees and VIP is $375. The VIP tent adds a lounge, live music and a cocktail bar. If you plan to go both days, a Friday-and-Saturday general admission pass is listed at $408 before fees. Multi-day passes include a 15% bundle savings.
What the festival FAQ says about logistics:
- Every event is 21 and older, and you may need a valid photo ID.
- Events go ahead rain or shine unless organizers announce otherwise.
- All sales are final.
- You can pass General Admission, Harvest After Dark and Grand Tasting VIP Tent tickets to another guest. For dinners and brunches, contact the team before transferring.
- Resort casual is suggested, with shoes that work on grass.
- Parking details may be posted closer to the dates.
The fundraising adds context to the ticket prices. Destin Life reports that Harvest alone has raised more than $1 million over its first decade. DCWAF has donated more than $38 million to Northwest Florida children's charities since it was founded in 2005. Kate MacMillan, who is marking 10 years with the foundation this year, told the publication: "This anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate how far Harvest has come, but it is also the beginning of its next chapter."
Mountainfilm's First Price Increase Is October 1
The 26th Annual Mountainfilm on Tour returns to the WaterColor Marina Park Amphitheater November 6 and 7. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. and films start at 7. According to 30A, ticket prices rise in three steps:
- Through September 30: $40 for one night, $70 for the weekend
- October 1 through November 5: $50 for one night, $90 for the weekend
- Event days, if tickets remain: $60 for one night, $110 for the weekend
Taxes and fees are extra. Children 8 and under get in free, and anyone 9 or older needs a regular ticket. VIP tickets are limited to 100 guests each night. The WaterColor event page says the program is designed for adults and some films include adult language.
The 2026 playlists are already published. Friday runs about 140 minutes and includes Wheelchair Mafia, Rodeo on Ice, Good Luck, Kid by Renan Ozturk, Pressure Drop, Lester and Airtime. Saturday includes Tour de Durango, Little Road Trippers, Run in Beauty, The Sound of Japan, American River and Evening in Chile. A Mountainfilm presenter introduces each night and talks about the films, filmmakers and subjects.
The Chair Rule Is Enforced
The rule most likely to catch people out is chair height. Chair backs can't be taller than 30 inches from the ground, and seats can't be higher than 13 inches. Taller chairs go to a section at the back. Only Premier Sponsors can set chairs before the gates open at 5:45 p.m., and staff remove any other chairs placed early. The event page lists a few more rules:
- A 15-minute intermission comes halfway through each program.
- Outside food, drinks and coolers aren't allowed. Food, wine, beer and liquor are sold on site.
- Pets aren't permitted.
- Restrooms are at the Marina Park Pool.
November 6 Is the Busiest Friday on 30A
The first night of Mountainfilm competes with several other events. The same evening, the First Friday Fall Concert Series at The Pavilion at Watersound Town Center has the Webb Wilder Trio with Jessica Willis Fisher from 6 to 8 p.m. The 30A BBQ Festival runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on the North Lawn at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. The SEASIDE Seeing Red Wine Festival runs November 5 through 8 in Seaside.
WaterColor's event page warns that parking will be limited because of other community events. It points guests to the public lot at Van Ness Butler Jr. Regional Beach Access, 1931 E County Hwy 30A. The festival goes ahead rain or shine, and tickets are refunded only if the event is canceled or postponed. Long-sleeve 2026 Mountainfilm shirts will be sold at the event and at the WaterColor Store for $36 each.
At The A-Team with Albert Baeza, we keep track of the WaterColor calendar the same way we track the market. If you're thinking about a home close to Cerulean Park and Marina Park, or want to know how weekends like Harvest and Mountainfilm affect a property's rental calendar, Talk to Albert Now!
